I was born and raised in Lubbock, went to law school at Texas Tech and have spent my entire professional life working within the Texas legal system. I began my legal career in San Antonio representing accused citizens and business owners in civil manners.

From there, I was the assistant district attorney of Lubbock County for nearly four years. I then served as assistant district attorney for Travis County for eight years. During that time, I worked on numerous complex and high-profile cases, including the prosecution of the SXSW capital murder trial and the Tarrytown Murder.
